The Long View Book Launch

We are curating a collection of essays on why the long-term future matters, and what we can do today to protect it.

Authors include Lord Martin Rees, Astronomer Royal; Lord John Bird, life peer and Founder of The Big Issue and Lord Bob Kerslake, former Head of the UK Civil Service. The book will form a number of launch events at the House of Lords, and will complement recent publications such as The Precipice.

Lord John Bird MBE, Founder of The Big Issue and sponsor of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Bill in the House of Lords

We need to act today to protect future generations, and a mishmash of stop-gap and make-do thinking isn’t good enough. Effective Giving understands this, and I support their careful and thoughtful approach to giving.
